Automatically calculate section properties for simple and complex sections, such as the section of a pole, hollow section, AISC standard shape, and composite or built-up sections. SAM also calculates the section capacity when the section has damage or defects. This section capacity is incorporated into the analysis engine to determine the member's strength.
